So here's the story so far;
I was in my local pet shop getting some nuggets for my two girls where I saw a single guinea pig left in the pen, he was beautiful and I didn't want to see him alone so I took him home with me where he could spend his days with my two girls.
I got him his own cage where I could keep him close by the other two before he reached the age where he could be neutered and properly introduced into their cage.
About a week or so ago, my new pig, Arthur, ended up giving birth to two pups. The pet shop obviously made a mistake here and sold me a pregnant female instead of a male.
I'm quite happy to keep them all because the cage I'm using is definitely big enough (2x7 custom made c+c).
So as of now, Arthur and the two pups are living in a cage next to my two girls and are doing fantastically, I've got a vet appointment booked for Saturday where they will help me sex the two babies and make sure that they are okay.
If the two pups are both female, it should be pretty straightforward introducing them. However if one is a male, I will have to keep him in his own cage until I can get him neutered.
My question is, when should I make the proper introductions and should I do it with just the mother to begin with or mother and pups?
