Hi I have a long thread in the pregnancy section but thought I might get a quicker answer here. Revels was 400g at six weeks when we got her 9 weeks ago. She was 772g 2 days ago and gave birth to 2 babies yesterday. After at least 8 hours after giving birth, I gently weighed her at 574g. Today she is down to 550g. She is fine in herself, eating, drinking, feeding the babies, weeing and pooing normally. She just looks really thin. She ate a couple of bites of critical care I made into a thick paste but then backed off. Any advice anyone?

I'm no expert but I think if a mother piggy falls pregnant before they reach an adult weight, the energy they get from their food goes to nourishing her pups and stunts her own growth.
The 20ish grams loss from yesterday to today is a normal loss associated with pooing or peeing and can usually fluctuate up and down about 20-30g.
As she is fine in her self i wouldn't worry too much , but carefully monitor both your new mummies over the coming days to ensure there isn't a continuing loss.

Thanks Klee, she is eating as much grass as we can give her and we will introduce a few more fresh veggies over the next few days.
