Hi guys,

I just wanted some reassurance on my two boys.

I introduced a new 5 month old to my older boy(unsure of age) probably a week ago now. Things have been going really well. This morning they seem to be at each other. Teeth chatters, rumbles, chasing, the little guy launched at the bigger pig(no bites or anything), and I even think he twisted his leg as he is limping a bit). Is this just a normal spat that can happen due to the fact their relationship is still fresh and the hormones of a 5 month old? They have a 5 by 4 cage and two of everything. Anything else I can do to help?

Also in terms of floor time, Ive heard neutral territory can spark fights. Should I not take them out of the cage for floor time for awhile?

Just need some reassurance :)

They sound like they’re still trying to work out the dominance phase of their relationship. When cleaning out Buddy and peanut at first I had to leave some fleece items with their scent on them in their cage or they would really start acting up. I would maybe skip the floor time till they’ve properly bonded. As you’re right it’s another neutral area for them. Their cage sounds massive anyway lucky boys.

Thanks for the advice. Its gonna be a job to clean the cage because I normally put them for floor time haha. Hopefully it goes okay

Maybe put one of their liners or beds etc in the floor so there’s a familiar smell?
