We lost our Ginny today (F5)
I am wondering if I should get a companion for Coco (F5) to stop her getting lonely. However if I get a young one then will be in the same position in a few years. Should I adopt an older pig? Or get two?
Does anyone have any suggestions?

It depends on if you want to continue having pigs or not. If you don’t want to get trapped in the pig circle, you could foster a pig from a rescue and then hand it back when your sow passes. It would be best to do it by dating so that she gets a friend she likes. I have an older sow I got a young friend for, and although they get along relatively well, the older sow is often very grumpy with the younger one. Good luck in whatever you decide to do.

Oh and I’m very sorry for the loss of your Ginny - they really do work their way into our hearts! Take it easy on yourself and allow yourself to grieve - and Coco too.💕

Thank you. I’m in Aberdeen & struggling to find a foster place near by
