We lost our piggie last week who was sister of the piggie we have left- Lottie. The thought of her being lonely is just unbearable. Guineas should live in pairs or a group. So today we brought home Mable. I’m thinking she’s a Swiss teddy. We have named her Mable. Oh so tiny! We have a separate cage set up next to Lottie so they can see and smell each other and I’ll be doing introductions in time.
Mable seems completely different from any other piggie as she’ll not move when I check on her. She’s let me pick her up to put her in the cage and just sat there. Normally Guineas will run, I’m guessing this is the prey instinct? I have a small piece of choooed carrot, hay and pellets in the cage plus water. Any advice Is welcome on this. It’s been 3 years since we had a baby piggie.
I’m going to get her vet checked and she’s been sexed twice. I have looked right over her and all seems good.
