I've just adopted a pair of rescue piggies who I have renamed Bean and Sprout. Bean is the white swiss, and Sprout is the black/grey sheltie, both boars. They are currently very very scared and are snuggled up together in a corner which I've put a blanket over to make it nice and dark for them, so hopefully they will feel safer. It's been a few years since I last had guinea pigs but it feels like a guinea pig shaped hole has been filled already :D can't wait for them to settle in and come out of their shells. Here's some not very good photos I managed to sneak before they hid in the corner!

Awwwwwwww! They are absolutely gorgeous :)
I hope they settle soon, and I look forward to reading more about them :) x

How gorgeous ! very cute names as well! They will make lovely additions to the family

Sweeties! Love their names (I just love food names for piggies, don't know why xD)!

Aww they're adorable! New piggies are always so exciting. And I LIKE the fluff on Bean!

I love the Swiss. Fluffy bum! :luv: They are both lovely piggies. Can't wait to see more of them and hear how they settle in!

:D They are both gorgeous boys! I have always wanted a Swiss.:wub::wub: My late Clyde was a Sheltie. They are particularly sweet-natured.

Congratulations on your new piggies :wub: They are utterly stunning.

I think I am in love with Bean!

That's interesting I was just offered a Swiss Guinea and I didn't know what they looked like. I should think they are hard to keep clean?

I only adopted him 5 days ago so can't really comment on cleanliness other than he only had a couple of little poop matts on his butt when I brought him home. I imagine shavings/bedding would get stuck in their fur easily but I'm using fleece so won't have that issue. I'm going to try and keep his fur short around his bum to avoid poopyness though. They are just walking fuzzballs. Super cuddley :)
