getting 2 new piggies at the weekend. Been told they are very skittish. they do not know how old, just that they are female and their dog wont leave them alone.. so travis going for the snip :)
i know its 6 weeks after neuter that they can go together, so thats perfect. Gives me enough time to watch that they are ok with no mites etc and get them used to me before introducing travis to them.

Best of luck for Travis' op and settling the girls in.

Give them time next to Travis before introduction - that takes care of some of the worst excesses, but it will give everypig time to get their bearings!

was wondering if i should put travis is an indoor cage inside the hutch once i know they are safe from infection? x

the people have only had them a week. Took them after they were being neglected, but their labrador has been going for them and badly damaged the hutch. Really hope they are ok x
they dont even have names :( x

well, really hope it is just the dog giving them grief that they wanted them rehomed. were quick to hand them over even though i hadnt told them anything about my knowledge, set up etc.
Said they "think" they are girls, have no idea about ages etc, just that a neighbour wasnt looking after them and she may have had others?
well, they are extremely frightened.. i THINK they are female as could only get a quick glimpse as they tried to jump, and will have to give them time to settle in before having a look at them properly x
 
Oh bless them. Not the best start for them eh :( but I'm sure they will soon progress with your love and care ;)

thanks! i thought * couldnt get more skitty than my korben til i met these 2.
Ive got some shampoo and baytril.
Travis cant wait to get 2 girlfriends.. ive told him he is an arabian prince, having 2 girlies :)) although if he gets bossed about by 2 girlies i dont know if he will still thanks me :)

they licked my hands today, i almost cried, reminded me of my ickle licker comanche x) xx
 
thanks, Travis is desp for company, hate seeing my little boy so freaked out!

Having to change his neuter though. He was booked in on Thursday, but i forgot about all the bank holidays, and the last thing i need is something to go wrong and bank holiday vets fees (as if they dont charge enough lol) plus emergency vets is 3 buses away.. and they arent runnning! so better be safe than sorry..

So excited about getting them together x
 
Good thinking .... its always a nightmare if things go wrong at long bank holidays. I'm sure he will be able to wait another week or 2 - its a shame for Travis that theres so many bank holidays so close together at the moment.

i know. They are in a 4ft x 2ft, but i had needed the hutch they came with to house with travis. It was a 5ft a 2 the single version of a one i have, so was going to put it on top and add an extra floor..

nowt is ever straight forward for me! wanna cry :( even paid a delivery man to pick up.. they texted me to say they werent in after i had arranged it x
