Teenage Guinea Pig
Hi, well getting a baby pig to go with them is probably your best option, but I'd still recommend going to a rescue to introduce them. That's what I did, I didn't want to risk them not getting on so took mine along to a local rescue and introduced him to the baby. We knew pretty quickly they'd get on...though there is still the chance they could fall out when baby reaches normal stages...fingers crossed that doesn't happen though!Hi!
I just saw your youtube video showing us your cute new addition! I was wondering if you did bore dating with the two first? Or did you just introduce them and hope for the best? I have 2 boars who I had to separate as they did not like each other. They have been living separately side by side and so have been fine but I am moving them into a very spacious double (but separated ) hutch so they will be on top of each other so they won't be able to see each other anymore. Now they are both over a year old I was wondering about getting them both a baby companion. I know they are supposed to not live alone but am concerned they will not like any new addition and then i'm stuck with 4 solo piggies!
