hi i thought i would introduce my new pig poppy i got her as a friend for alice i was really hoping to get from a rescue but couldnt wait any longer so poppy is from awebsite online ( not to sure if i can name it ) she has very sticky eyes but apart from that she is a very brave pig not scarwed of me atall she is lovely

Please quaranteen here away from alice, the sticky eyes could be a number of things and should really be checked by a vet but even if she is fine atleast 2 weeks quaranteen :)

She is very lovely looking though.

Please have her checked by a vet - sticky eyes can be down to respiratory or eye problems.

You do not want to have anything infectious transmitted to a healthy piggy. Unfortunately, you need to quarantine any piggies that are not from a reputable rescue and have undergone their quarantine and health check there.
 
shes been the vet my first thought was uri but vet seems tothink she has conjictivitis ( sorry cant spell) and shes not sneezing and is a good weight :)
 
Great that she has seen a vet and thats being sorted! :) Quarantine is still necessary as some illnesses take a while to manifest symptoms, but after that introductions on neuteral terratory and fingers crossed they get along! :)
 
i was stupid and forgot about quarintine they had been together aweek before her eyes started getting sore its my fault and if alice gets it am luckily i have my dad who lends me all my vet fees and i pay him back weekly or i probably wouldnt be able to have any of my babies :(
 
She's gorgeous x) hope you can get her eyes sorted
