New Piglet

Hi guys! I think I’m getting a new piglet tonight. I already have 2 (as some of you know Pip and Rolo) And Pip is a baby, so I thought of getting another baby pig so that it Rolo passes, he has another mate. They will all be boars, but do you think this is a good idea? Can you give me some tips please? x

Hi! Unfortuantely 3 boars don't generally work due to testosterone and territory. I personally wouldn't try a trio of boys as it's the most unstable group of pigs sadly

Hi & welcome to our friendly forum.
If you have a trio of boars, they won't stay together until adulthood, they will eventually end up fighting. The only thing you can do is neuter one of the lads & put him in with a female.

Spaying is a lot riskier than neutering a male and is only done for health reasons like ovarian issues. A lot more can go wrong with a spay as the operation is internal whereas a neuter for a boy is mostly external so far safer.

Were you thinking about bonding her with the 2 younger males eventually then? You also can't have more than one male with females as they would fight each other

Sadly piggies are super complicated creatures sometimes! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!
