I’m collecting my 2 new pigs today and just wondering what nuggets are the best recommended as per the comparison chart? Not sure about the cal:phos ratios etc

They are currently on PAH nuggets but was hoping to swap them to a better one if they need it? The pigs in question are probably around 3mths old or so

Hello welcome to the forum

Pellets are often a personal choice, there is no best option in my opinion, there are lots of schools of thought out there. @Flutterby is quite knowledgeable on pellets.

We use harringtons as the girls really like these. They mush up well for syringe feeding too so an added bonus if ever needed

science selective grainless is very popular for bladder piggies

I've been using Oxbow pellets for baby guinea pigs (they also do an adult version). The girls weren't sure at first but now they seem to inhale them, definitely a hit!

I agree that when it comes to nuggets, it's more of a personal choice and what your piggies like.
There are many to choose from.
Mine also have harringtons and will polish off the bowl!

Oh that’s ok then. Just didn’t know if one was better than the other so to speak. I was looking at the Harrington’s ones as my rabbits are on and do well on their rabbit nuggets so may give those a go :)

Harringtons is a fine brand to go with. I would avoid the supermarket brands and stick with ones such a burgess/ science selective, harringtons etc. Or the more expensive ones like oxbow and bunny basic guinea

Thankyou :)
I did look at Wilkos own brand while I was in there but didn’t think they looked amazing. The Pets at Home ones smell lovely though. Have started mixing a small amount of Harrington’s in with them so will see if they take to them. The rabbits do very well on the Harrington’s nuggets to be fair
