New Range Of Guinea Pig Enclosures!

:D Wow! Those are fantastic enclosures! I particularly liked the enclosure with rear loft. Very expensive though. Great that they sell all the parts separately, and do made-to-measure. Though I doubt if many of us could afford much bigger! Those with DIY skills may be able to adjust the designs a little - such as attaching the loft to the side of the enclosure, instead of on the top. I notice that the ramps are not listed separately. I bet a lot of people could use those.

I would expect that if there are enquiries and a demand for just the ramps, they would start listing them. They also seem keen on any feedback. ;)

Rather pricey for the whole caboodle, although the price for just the pen is only about half of what you pay for a comparably sized 150/160x60 cm traditional 2 boars/3 piggies cage.

I think these are frikkin amazing, it cost me nearly £100 to make a similar basic one that they are selling for £76.99. If they take custom orders I would totally get one (I like mine to be longer for running room...at least 150cm rather than 120cm)

I keep looking at these cages and wondering. I love the one with the rear loft. They look fabulous, but would the piggies like them? I tried asking them and showing them the pictures, but didn't get any sensible answers, just demands for more food!

Seriously though, they've never used a ramp before, so I don't know whether they would go up into the loft enclosure. I notice the water bottle holder is up there, so that's a bit of a problem if they won't go up.

I can't find any reviews for these cages unfortunately. I'm so tempted, but it's a lot of money to spend if it doesn't work out too well.

There's a lady on YouTube (Little Adventures) that has a homemade cage almost identical to this. Maybe check out some.of her videos? Her piggies seem very happy in it.

I love them, and have clearly been living in Switzerland for far too long as the prices actually seem quite reasonable for what you get.
We paid more than that for a standard 2 story outdoor wooden hutch (now languishing unused in the garage).

I would be tempted myself (thank goodness I don't live in the UK) but I have to confess the 'rigidity' of the footprint would bother me slightly.
I like the fact I can extend the C&C to pretty much any size I want, and can also fit it into the space I have available by changing the shape.

Thanks, I've just had a look. I love the way her cage has a little door in the wall, to let the pigs out for floor time! Wish I had some DIY skills!

They're probably not too expensive really, all things considered, but more than something like a Ferplast cage or C&C.

Do your guinea pigs have a loft and ramp, and if so, did it take them long to get used to it?

Manor pet housing stuff is great, it's really well built (I have some of their rabbit stuff) - they have also made me custom stuff in the past (their rat agility stuff is from my designs).

I love the hammock! I might buy one of those chewy in particular loves to sit on top of things! The wooden enclosures look quite smart but expensive wonder if they would make me a hay rack?

They have different hayracks in the bunny section. The only thing I would say is that I prefer the type with holes - the barred ones over enthusiatic piggies/bunnies just chewed through to get the hay quicker.

Also hayracks here - alot cheaper but I've not bought anything yet so not sure how quality compares:

... I met the people who run Small Paws Playtime at a summer fair . Their products look very well made and they have done a lot of research making sure they use pet safe woods and pet safe paint. I keep meaning to order some of their stuff !

Thanks guys
I've never had a hay rack before but I thought I would give it a go in Ted & chewys new home :D

I've not had a wooden guinea pig cage for probably 15 years so sorry for my stupid question. BUT wouldn't the piggy chew it? And wouldn't they get splinters as it looks like MDF type wood (I'm looking at it on my phone).

I can remember my pigs chewing on their hutch ramp a lot.

Yes we have a loft and ramp (the standard one that came with the C&C.
It was interesting because initially they were in a 2 story wooden hutch with a ramp, and all 3 mastered the ramp within a week.
When we moved them to the C&C we assumed they wouldn't have any issues with the ramp, but it took them anywhere between 1 day and 3 weeks to work it out.
But now they all use it regularly and love their loft. I am actually thinking of adding another one.

I'm the same. I'm new to piggies but I like the option of expanding in the future. I believe the listed sizes would only accommodate one pig? especially with the ramp and hidey taking up running space.
Plus, i'm not sure about an "upstairs".
I really like the replaceable base idea though as I'd heard wood can get really smelly once it soaks in urine >.<

Definitely one to think about, but they do seem pricey to me initially.

I have seen this cage up and being used and it is solid.the ramp is not steep, guinea pigs seemed to love it.made to last.i
