Hi I already have a 10 month and a 5 month Guinea pig living together in an indoor c&c pen. They are both sows and been together 2 months. They get on OK but don't snuggle together and have to have separate pigloos lol. Today I took on a year old sow, she has only been with this person two days and they have wanted to give her up and they had her living in a packing crate! She looks OK in her body etc but her nails are awfully overgrown causing her toes to twist. She doesn't seem shy and doesn't hide when you approach and enjoys head rubs but if you touch certain spots she looks like she wants to bite.
I am leaving her to settle etc and I will know I won't necessarily be able to introduce her to my others. I was wondering if eventually I could keep her in a c&c right next to my others so that they could see each other through the bars etc..... She's lovely and I just want to give her what she deserves now.

Well done for rescuing a sow from such a careless person.
When she’s had a vet check, nail trim and is more settled I think you could consider bonding them.
I’ve recently bonded 2 pairs of sows and while it was stressful for me for a few days they have settled into a very happy herd.
The bonding guides on the forum are superb.

Mine don’t snuggle together - they all have their favourite places to relax and sleep but that is normal behaviour.

Welcome to the forum and do please let us see pictures

Fabulous, well done and finding her a home with you.
I agree, get a good vet check up, especially if there are bodily areas that appear more sensitive and given enough time for quarantine too.

Certainly look forward to seeing photos.
