Casran and Jemima have a new run... which is quite large.

I think they are finding all the space a bit overwhelming as they've stayed in the same corner the entire time they've been in it.

And whenever one of them ventures off a tiny bit the other one follows VERY closely behind... then they scurry back to their corner.

Going to try and take a piccy.

My boars were always very nervous in their run and at floor time. I find it helps to have lots of hideys, toys and a box of hay to break up the space. I also put a fleece over the top and part way down the run so they can't see the eagles (washing) flapping overhead.

Thanks @piggieminder ... they seem to have got a little more adventurous.

I have popped a blanket over one half of the cage actually but just pulled it off for the pics.

Need to pop some hideys and stuff in like you say but the lid is quite big and cumbersome. When I put it on I lost control of it and nearly decapitated both Jemima and Casran, then realised I'd forgot their toys and stuff but thought I'd best quit while I was ahead (or they had heads).

That really is a lovely run. I just had a look at the web site of Riverside, their prices are very good. My boars have got a very expensive (very small) apex run with a house compartment at one end. We were going to make them something bigger next year, but at those prices we couldn't buy the wood let alone the rest. Maybe I won't get one quite as large as yours if the lids awkward, although I like the idea of being able to climb in it as Spike & Peanut are difficult to catch. I have to climb into the indoor cage to get them out and to clean it as I can't reach the far corners.

Yes the prices are amazing. It's all handmade. Very well made. Weather treated. Delivered to your house.

Ref the lid ... I think I just need to be more careful, get used to popping it on and off - getting hold of it properly (it has a lip which goes under the covered part) and take more time! Haha ;-)

I spy two beautiful piggies
