So I’ve two eight month old Guineas . Recently adopted a three month maximum sow . After initial incubation I introduced in a neutral environment . The alpha sally initially challenged but the next day the new girl was relentless and kept chasing her. Being younger she was considerably faster . I’ve resorted back to having enclosures next to each other . Poppy the submissive guinea is very happy going to side and greeting rosy. However the alpha sally is staying to one side and avoiding her and won’t even go into her run. What should I do? The New Guinea is very comfortable and I didn’t expect this to happen. Poor sally is still eating and even chirped to ask me for more hay in her side as she didn’t even want to get close to the the new young girl. Rosy is separated by a cage. What shall I do? I don’t want to torture sally knowing she is there .

@Millymints09 If you think there is absolutely no chance of the trio working then you have two options:

1) rehome another pig and have two pairs. You could keep the cages away from each other so they're all happy.

2) contact the rescue to take your new piggy back. They'll be able to find her a home with another pig that likes her. And you'll be back to having two happy piggies.

@Lady Kelly @Piggies&buns @PigglePuggle I've tagged a list of ladies who've helped me with info. I personally think you were too quick to seperate. A day isn't enough as it can take weeks for guineas to properly settle and bond. Chasing is a normal part of bonding and dominance behaviour. Was there any fights? Any blood drawn? The bonding guides on here will help you a lot as well.
