Well when i say new !;) I am a single mum so don't have a lot of spare money floating around but so wanted to treat them to nice things after seeing what everyone buy they piggies on here i thought somehow i was letting mine down. :( so i went looking round the second hand shops and found 2 lovely funkey furry scarfs they only cost me 50p for both and jack simply loves them i seen him laying snuggled up to them more then once. x) and i got a lovely blue large blanket which they both love to run around on that only cost me £2 so to keep my boys happy it only cost me £2.50p I also use a old pillow in a pillow case for them to jump on and snuggle. I do need a new hide tunnel as they have sort of out grown theirs ;) all that hay i guess lol i will get them one next week a rabbit size one ;)

What great bargains you have found! They will be so happy with their new treats.

That's brilliant! So thoughtful! I pop into the charity shops occasionally and have got some cracking bargains! xx>>>

I thought so to, so now i will make a point to pop in once a week just to see what they have i can treat my boys to. :) I do so love treating them to things. My kids say i spoil Jack and Bob more then i do them lol

i think it is fantastic to reuse an item and alot of things you buy are just the same as things we all throw away. I always use shoe boxes for my guinea's and rabbits, they love them and was advised to use the tops off of fabric conditioner bottles (once well washed) as rabbit toys:))

lol i'm getting that from my daughter at the moment "mum i need school shoes and you're buying guinea pig stuff!" oops lol

you did well! i'm going to start bargain hunting next week :D is there any fabrics we need to beware of?

I'm the same! The only restriction I have is the fact that I'm a student who's broke constantly, if I had money, I hate to think of all the money I'd spend on the pigs!

Well done! Those presents sounds great! Piggies also loved old cardboard boxes stuffed full of hay!

i found that out to and if you get a shoe box with lid that is attached to the box you can open it letting it rest against the cage you can make 2 hide outs out of 1 box :)

Old boxes are brill, I use empty printer paper boxes from work as well as cereal boxes. Wilkos sell chew chives for £1.50 just incase you didn't know and loo rolls stuff with hay and beg are good! :(|)

Oh that sounds like a fab idea, gonna have to steal for my loan boar, may make a hole in the back so he can go between the two hideys like a little maze ! :')

:(|) I was fascinated by chew chives wondering what they were.

Poundland have doggy fleeces just now with a cute paw print pattern

i found some shallow oblong willow baskets for 30p each at the carboot on sunday. my piggies are now loving sitting in them eating their hay
this is molly and pippa with blossom, hazel, nutmeg and lily watching from their hutch next door

this is pippa having her turn in the basket

piggy prezzies are the best, ive cut up an old fleece jumper and the boys love to cuddle up to it, i even found Yuri had got inside the head hole before, only problem is they pee on it so it only goes in occassionally at it gets rather smelly :(

I have been trying fleece this week but there's nowhere dry left for them to lie on - except the litter tray rolleyes Have had to wash the fleeces every single night. Back to hay I think
