I recently got two little baby girl guinea pigs, they are about 4 months old. Any suggestions things I should do, I've done my research, read guinea pig books, just looking for as much info as I can. The more I know the better, I want two make sure my two girls have the best life possible :)

Hi,
Welcome to the forum - you're in the right place :))
Have a look around and see if you can get any ideas. Would love to see pictures of your girls. If you wanted you could post pictures of their cage/hutch too and see if anyone has any ideas to improve it (or it may be perfect as it is).
Once your girls settle in they'll soon realise you're the one that feeds them and start wheeking for you :))
Mine can hear when I'm in the fridge rustling bags and preparing their veg..... and wheek like mad :))
Lots of nice hay, food, veggies, water and somewhere nice to snuggle and I'm sure they'll be happy piggies .... oh and a tunnels always a favourite. :)
x

awww how lovely and what a lot you have to learn, they are such brilliant little things, you will not have a day where you dont think about them believe me.

Enjoy them, hope to see some piccies x

There's nothing better than being wheeked at!

In my house, in the mornings it goes like this...

*CHOP* (knife on chopping board)
wheek wheek wheek wheek wheeeeek!
*CHOP*
wheek wheek wheek wheek wheeeeek!
*CHOP*
WHEEEEEEEEEK WHEEEEEEEK WHEEEEEEEEEEK!

:)) I love my boys and girl!

Hi and welcome to the forum!

Just have a look around and don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have. There is a lot of sometimes conflicting information out there, which can be confusing for newcomers. Use your common sense when necessary!

You will find that your piggies will teach you a lot themselves with their sounds and body language. The important thing is to develop a daily routine. It helps if you use the same words or sounds with the same melody all the time, so your girls can learn what's up. Praising them lots will encourage them, so you can establish what is behavour you like and what is not (sadly, "no" is not a concept piggies will heed well!).

aww this did make me laugh :)) Bless 'them

Reminds me of my old boys who would wheeek when they heard the cupboard door open that had their food in.................
and then WHEEEEEEEEEEK even louder when I said "boys, boys, boys" (to the same tune as their wheeek wheeek wheeek lol)
It was our little conversation of them asking if grubs up, and me confirming its definitely food time ! things you do eh!) Too cute tho!
