Hello :) .

I'm new to the forum and Guinea Pigs (just posted in the introduction section) so sorry if you have been asked this many times before!

One of my Piggies (Cinders) squeeks almost constantly when stroking her, she also sort of twitches her whole body at times when stroking her. And once she made a purring kind of sound too while I was stroking her!

I was wondering what this meant? I assume she is happy but wanted to make sure she wasn't in pain, as I've said I'm new to Piggies, never even held one before having these two I have now, I'm just going with the flow with our new girls :) .

Thanks for answers in advance!

My girls do the same. I know with mine it means they're happy so I'd assume it's the same with yours. ;)
Mine also give me licks too which is very endearing.
The twitching with little jumpy movements is popcorning and means they're very happy. :))

Hello to you and your pigs! One of my boys purrs a lot when being stroked (whole body strokes is his best) :). How old are your piggies?

Only thing I would add as that it is worth keeping an eye on how they react when you stroke them - one of my other boys developed mites and one of the first signs was wiggling when being stroked and trying to kick my hand away because he was feeling itchy and sore. But that is just something to be aware of:)
