New Year, New Piggy Friends

I approached Christmas with a pair of boars and 4 single boars - not good. Happened after a series of bereavements and fall outs.

So I am super pleased that two of my single boars have just been on a bonding holiday to Salt N Peppers Mums (fosters and bonds for BARC) and they are back home and very happy together. Both boys will be 3 this year - thankfully Sudoku (black and white one) is pretty laid back as long as there is food around and seems pretty content with Barney balancing on him. There is some bonking, some stinky boar smells but mainly balancing!

Couple of pics - the one actually in focus is from Salt N Peppers Mum. Thank you! And thank you to Salt N Peppers Mum for bonding Barney Bubbles yet again. Barney has lost his two previous cagemates to different illnesses so everything is now crossed that he can settle with Sudoku and have some boar frolics with less drama.

Hi piggyfan. hope all well with you and your piggies.
These two boys had not actually ever been living together before so it was a fresh bonding - if you know what I mean!
But I am v chuffed that they are friends - Sudoku is a big softy and Barney is barmy and has poor eyesight so they make a great pair. Go boys.

So glad for your two boys that all has gone well and they are getting on! Fingers firmly crossed that it reamins so, but they are past their stroppy age, so they should be OK now.

Lovely to see them again!
They make a lovely pair.
The bonding was straight forward, and accepted each other warmly - bad habits and all! Barney was as ever a little tinker and lived up to his name 'Barmy Barney' but it was a pleasure to have him back again for a little holiday.

A little trip down memory lane from back in October 2011 for some members might remember him.~~?
Barney was found as a stray back in the October of 2011. He was collapsed and very underweight when I nursed him back to health and fostered him on behalf of BARC (rescue). He was very quiet at first, but soon made up for it when he felt a lot better with his racing around antics. He bonded with Leonard and seemed to attach himself very much to his new friend, and I don't mean just emotionally but by also getting comfort from balancing on top of the tolerant Leonard, which was mostly ignored as a Barney thing. Anyhow they were both adopted by gplearner
She not only gave them a wonderful home but is one of the'bestest' piggy mums I know.

Oh heck - it makes me cringe to see reminders of Barney's sore back. But he is doing so well now and the bonding is still going very well with Sudoku. They had a mad zoomy, popcorn session last night and seem very settled with one another. Barney may be barmy but he makes a good friend!
