Perhaps you remember Jasper, the deaf, near blind bundle of bones and mats that came into Cheylesmore rescue in Coventry just before Christmas (together with Tani). Here is his story for those who'd like to catch up: http://www.theguineapigforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=60198
Jasper has come on so well that the vet has declared him fit to have his neutering op today, and the good news is that he has made it and is ready to be be collected!
There have also been some major developments on the ladies' front. Sadly, Baby Girl has attacked her daughter Poppy really badly and has now moved up into the new loft (the unsafe ramp has been removed). She seems to love only people who get plenty of kisses off her and is so much happier now she is on her own.
Instead, the separated two five year olds Honey and Bell who came from Crawley Rescue have taken little Poppy into their fold. Bell has taken an instant - proprietary - liking to Jasper and is spending a lot of her time guarding him against the attentions of potentials rivals, as you can see in the pic; Bell is the black piggy with the white stripe.
Jo has decided that under the circumstances, the girls are going to stay with her as pensioners.
We are all keeping our fingers firmly crossed that Jasper will recover well and will be able to join his three new ladies after his obligatory wait in six weeks time!
