Just want to double check, am I okay to use this in the base of Tom and Mini's cage?

The tea bag bedding they are on is proving great for both them and me except for one thing, I'm finding that although it absorbs the wee, a lot still goes through to the base and the base is getting quite wet.

It's worth a try - but you may find the newspaper goes soggy. How about puppy pads?

I was going to suggest puppy pads too @Veggies Galore.

i use puppypads under all my bedding,it is so much easier to clean up .the newspaper can get so soggy that it was impossible to roll the bedding in the newspaper.i use b & m ,poundstretcher puppy pads.as long as all the puppypads are covered by disposable bedding,the piggies do not chew the puppypads.
