Cannot it believe it, but it is 5 years since we lost our Nigel. He was one of those once in a lifetime pigs (along with Moo and Buzz) and I still cry within seconds of hearing a certain song that reminds me of him. He came to us poorly and was only here from the February to the November. A heart issue was diagnosed and he stabilised once on meds but the damage was already done and we had to let him go. He would spend most evenings snuggled on my shoulder and was an expert at syringe flinging. Most of his photos are in the depths of Photobucket so I hope this works.
Love you always little man, hope you like your stars on my shoulder and the one in the sky that is named after you xx

It's bittersweet remembering but a fabulous tribute to his personality that you still respond to the cues that remind you of him. All piggies are precious. Some are just extra special and extra precious, though. Hugs to you and Ross xx

Awww Nigel, bless him. Remember his stories and photos so well Helen. Huge hugs to you today x x

You have a extra special angel pig watching over you x

There are piggies that nest in your heart forever. They are often not the ones that you have longest or that are the most stunning, but they have oodles of personality and have forged a special bond with you. Looking after a piggy with chronic issues and doing your best to buy them extra time which they might otherwise not have had, creates that bond - but of course, you also invest a lot of your yourself in it.

As heart-breaking it is to lose them and as difficult it is to come to terms with their loss, I still feel blessed for having had mine in my life!

RIP Nigel - I am sure that you are a hard-working guardian angel these days!
