I am absolutely heartbroken to say that River passed away at about 10pm last night, after a short illness. Sadly, we caught whatever was making River ill too late, and she only had four days of antibiotics and we were still awaiting test results.

It is some comfort to know that River is not in any discomfort anymore. She had been very miserable the past few days and had very little energy, and seeing her struggling with her breathing was hard. My Dad was also very upset last night as, although he loves all the piggies, River was extra special to him.

She is reunited with her 'Who Pig' sisters, Ace and Amy. She also joins my other rainbow bridge piggies, Freddie, Ringo, Nelson, and Nellie.

Enjoy your adventures in piggy heaven, my beautiful River <3

We had her results back today, she had lymphoma, which makes me feel slightly better as I know now that there's nothing else I could have done for her. In a way, i am glad that it happened so quickly, as her sister Ace also had lymphoma and it was heartbreaking to see her waste away, whereas River was still a healthy weight and enjoying life until a few days before.

Sorry, losing my own Ffraid at a similar time made it difficult for me to post earlier.
