We have only been together since February this year when I saw an ad for you and Clyde on gumtree free to a good home, I went to the ladies house and knew I couldn't leave you there, so I brought you home, scrubbed your cage within an inch of its life, out some clean bedding in and let you settle in whilst I frantically looked for a new cage with an adequate wheel in it for you, straight away ou were very trusting and gentle as if you knew and thanked me for what I did. We had a very close bond and I miss you so so much already, there is an eary feel in the animal room today, looking at your empty cage gets me every time. I will miss you banging the ladder in your cage at night time to let me know that you are awake and want attention, I will miss you standing at the cage door waiting to come out, and I will miss your gentle love and kisses on my cheek. I will also miss you making loads off mess when trying to make your nest! You used to dig and scoop up all of your bedding so it was under the platform and nothing but red plastic the other end! You would have been 2 years and a few months old.

I hope I gave you the best for the last few months of your life, I love and miss you sooo much, have fun at the bridge with Sully and all of the other little animals that are up there.

Love you x x x x x xx

So sorry Chloe, Humbug was beautiful and I know how much you adored her. It always sounded like see gave the love right back to you.

You gave her the most amazing life and rescued her from those horrible conditions. She will have know true happiness and love and that is all any of us can ask for and give out in our lives. Have a big hug x

aww Chloe I'm so sorry you lost Humbug, rip beautful girl. I'm sure she was ever so grateful to you for your love and kindness. sending you a big old virtual hug xx

Thank you everyone, Humbug was buried in a plant pot yesterday, i just need to find a lovely plant to symbolise her, also want to get a weatherproof named pebble if anyone knows of anywhere? The reason for the plant pot is that my garden is all concrete with shingle on the top, also i can take the plant pot anywhere with me if i move.

so sorry you lost humbug hun x
By waterproof pebble do you mean like a stone to put her name on that wont get washed off? If so I would recommend a builders yard or garden centre, you can get a piece of stone at places like this, you could paint it yourself (nail polish works well!) and just get some clear gloss and it'll be protected x

My Holly is planted in a plant pot too as my new garden is just grass and a concrete path and patio. She has a winter pansy planted on the top x
