On Sunday we put the piggies out for there normal run before we cut the lawn. On getting them in Eddie jumped out of the basket and made a run straight uner next doors fence. My hubby jumped striaght over but on doing so the fence collapsed and he ended up crashing onto concrete. He has a broken leg and has his leg in a brace now but the worst thing was Eddie wasn't caught! :'( :'( :'(
I have left food out and a sheltered bit with hay in there and a cosy bed but no sign :'( I have informed all neighbours and esp the one's with cats who haven't seen her either, I'm totally gutted about it. On the plus side tho the people with cats said there is no way there cat has had her yet as they would bring her home and they haven't.
But poor Tucker is so lonely and isn't eating well at all. He looks so sad now and I feel rotton for him. Do you think i should get him another friend or give him some time, or Eddie some time incase she still turn's up?
I have 2 other piggies Pippin and Smudge but i don't wanna make them sad either by seperating, why are things never simple?!?!

Please don't bother replying if all your gonna do is shout at me about how stupid I am lossing a piggie I already no that, but it was done in a rush as it started to rain! :'(

Hi Sian,

Best wishes to your hubby for a speedy recovery, god love him for trying to rescue Eddie.

These things happen, its so sad. I would continue to leave food out and maybe a light to see if Eddie can find the way back home.

Thinking of you and sending hugs,

Louise

Great idea about the light Lou will get a solar light first thing tomoz and leave the kitchen light on tonight xx

I would fill up a cat basket with hay and leave it out, you never know you might find a piggie in there! As for your hubby, hope his leg heals well soon

I don't have any fresh ideas other than what has already been suggested, but I don't think anyone would shout at you - you love your piggies and would never lose them on purpose. I shall be thinking of you and hope little Eddie comes home soon - at least it's not cold just now. Also, very sorry to hear about hubby, that was a brave thing to do, and awful that he broke his leg. Sending healing vibes to him too.

No one is going to shout at you :smitten:
I will keep my fingers crossed for you and hope you find Eddie soon. Get well wishes to your OH :)

love from me and my piggies

Hope your hubby has a speedy recovery. And I also hope Eddie returns.

Oh my what a dreadful situation. The only other suggestion I have, if you haven't already tried it, is to put your other piggy out in the run in your garden and leave some food outside the run. When Ruby, one of our girls, got out when she was a baby we found her sitting on the other side of the wire mesh chatting to her sister - we have been scouring the garden for more than an hour.! Sounds awful, but so as not so scare her and make her run, we caught her by plopping a fishing net over the top of her - it worked :) Good luck finding Eddie.

I hope your hubby has a speedy recovery.

Oh i am so sorry i hope you find your furry soon,

and as for your hubby, that is so sad, i hope he is not in to much pain, was it a clean break or did it splinter,

And as for the piggy we have all made mistakes, and i have no other advice that the others have not already said :(, i do hope you find him soon.

Any news on Eddie? How is your hubby? hope he is feeling a bit better and you are ok too :smitten:

I have done exactly the same thing in the past, one piggie dived out of the run in the same circumstances and into the neighbours hedge. It took five adults two hours to find him in the end, they are excellent at hiding. I doubt he is far away, please try not to worry

Hope Sian doesn't mind but I contacted her on MSN and there is still no sign of Eddie. :(

No I don't think Lindsay ever found her either. :( It's heartbreaking.

oh dear i hope they come home.I was in contact with a girl last week who had lost her pig 6mths ago and then found it living under the garden shed.So don't loose all hope! lets hope hes hiding somewhere being naughty
