Hello. Unsure if I'm posting this in the correct place. We have a guinea pig with a fungal infection around the bottom of her spine. I read somewhere that Nizoral is okay to use. I was just wondering if it is okay to use, how much needs to be diluted in water or is it a case of just use it as a normal shampoo?

Edit: it says new born pup but shes actually a year old!
 
Please don’t treat on spec. You will need to take your piggy to a vet for diagnosis and to be prescribed the correct strength treatment. If you attempt to treat yourself, then it may not help and it will make it harder for a vet to diagnose and treat.

New born pup is referring to your forum status as you haven’t posted much. As you post more, the status changes
 
Thank you for the prompt response. We have been to the vets and its confirmed as fungal. She was taking Baytril but had an adverse reaction so we stopped. They have advised us to bathe her in suitable anti dandruff/fungal shampoo, but didn't specify. Maybe we'll just hold off for now!
