Because I can't, I have 2 piggies that are over 6 months, WAAAAAAAYYYY over 6 months, in fact, and two other guinea pigs ewhich I believe are almost over 6 months or soemwhere around there, not exactly sure, but they are close, so then I have these two at 2-3 months... in the same cage... so they only get the normal hay... what should I do? I am unable to give them alfalfa because of the amount of adults, and I cannot separate them because they all are a pack and friends.

Alfalfa is not required. Its helpful for nursing mums but once babies are weaned they dont need alfalfa.

I wouldn't worry too much. It's not essential. As long as they have a good diet of quality grass hay, good quality pellets, and a variety of veggies every day, they won't need alfalfa. It's not worth risking bladder stones in the older guinea pigs.

I'm going to have a similar "problem" soon, though my first girl is estimated at 6months old, the new one is about 2 and a half months.
So its good to know what to do for hay :)
