Hi all, Opal has recently lost hair on her nose. I attached a photo of what it looked like with the original white hair.

Quite honestly, I feel bad because I don’t know when she first started losing her hair in the first place, it's just completely gone now unfortunately.

She hasn't lost hair anywhere else. The skin does not seem to be dry or flaky beyond the norm, Opal has had this slightly flaky skin since I got her a year ago, I believe it's because she is partly Rex.

I was thinking that maybe it's fungas, but I don't know exactly so that's why I'm asking y'all. 😊 Thanks!

Oh bless her. Good luck at the vets. Could she be rubbing it on something in her cage?
You see, I was wondering the same thing, but I would assume all the piggies have the same problem then, too. 🤷‍♀️

I mean if she were rubbing it on something, it would get sore after a while but she's completely unfazed when I boop it. 😆

I’m glad it’s not affecting her. It’s a mystery. It will be interesting to see what the vets find.
