Just went into P@H to look at the piggies. Good job I did as they didnt have any hay :(

I asked the woman there and she said "They probably did have hay, they must have just eaten it". Don't worry I didn't believe that.

I waited to see if any hay was put in and fair enough she did it straight away (although customers shouldnt have to ask!).

You should have seen the poor cuties pigs! They all dived at the hay, the were so excited!

I wish they could just look after their animals properly! Pets At Home are a massive chain it's not like they are short on cash. In the branch where I live the animals always seem to have everything they need which is good but still don't agree with how Pets at Home buy mass bred animals and separate them for easier sales!

I think it must just be down to P@H not hiring experienced enough people and not everyone who works in these stores actually cares enough about these animals. It's a shame.

I am not 100% sure whether they offer training or not, but if they don't they should put all their staff through training.

I can safely say that if I worked in P@H the animals would be looked after properly and I would make sure the other staff did their jobs too. It doesnt take 2 minutes to make sure the animals have hay and water etc and another 2 minutes to put some in.

When I first read the title, I thought "Please don't tell me were going through a hay shortage already, it's not even September yet!"
I experienced recently a cage with a few male piggys with no nuggets left. I was carrying a bag of nuggets they heard the rustles of the packaging, and all hell broke loose. I really wished I had a pair of ear plugs, they got that excited!
Told the assistant, she said they'd eaten it all. Now, I know we all have different ideas when it comes to feeding, I do ab-lib with mine, and none of them are fat, and all have healthy hair and skin etc..
