No One Gets Along

Sometimes it just doesn't work. You could get them all neutered & a wife each which is a much easier option than trying to bond hormonal boys. It's a case of do you have the space.

I don't have the space or money for that unfortunately. However, Guinness, Shandy, and Tobie all love floor time together, just not cage time. But we can't have poor G-Force even out with them for floor time as he mounts all of them continuously.

They do all have contact through their bars to at least one other pig and plenty of cuddle time...and when out the terrorize my cat n dogs!

If I were you, I wouldn't worry too much! Many boars are very happy with your arrangement of having their own territory but shared roaming time. I assume that all your boys are still subadults in the big teenage hormones?

In this case, you may have more success with another round of trying to pair them up when they are over 15 months old and their hormones are finally settling down, especially as they haven't fallen out and had big fights. Hopefully, you can get at least one pair then. But don't try to force it; if character compatibility is not there, then you do not have a base for a stable bond. Considering how much piggies need company of their own kind (even if it is just through the bars), they can be ever so fiddly to pair up - sows aren't necessarily easier, by the way!

Three are about 1 1/2 yrs and one is much older though I'm not sure how old. He gets along with all of them but they all try to pick fights with him.

As they are all about adult now, I would assume that that is about as good as it gets, then. We all would like it if our piggies all got along well, but quite often that is not the case. Your boys still have a good life with interaction and stimulation by their own kind, so don't feel like you are failing them!

It is not as easy in the US to find a good rescue as it is in Britain. There is one recommendable rescue in your state, but I don't know how close it is to you: http://crittercorral.org/

That is a good 12 hr drive as I'm in Michigan and they are in Illinois.

It is always difficult to judge the distances from just a general map for me, and sadly, not all states have good guinea pig rescues.

I have rescues within an hour or so of me but again because of having a cat and two dogs... They will not adopt to me

I have two separate groups of sows because one in each group hate each other.Would love the ten to have a massive cage but not going to happen

Rescue criteria vary, and it is always important to check that the piggies are safe from constant harrassment by larger pets. This is of course more difficult if a physical home check is not an option.

However, you are giving those boys of yours a good and caring home, so you don't have anything to be ashamed of!

They are all in my kitchen and my cat even has her food right on top of one cage and none of them harrass the pigs they all come to the bars and kiss the dogs noses if they go to the cages which is rare
