Noises My Piggies Like/don't Like...

I've discovered my two don't like the voice on my bank's automated telephone calls. I'll ring up and start keying in the details I need but they start brr-ing every time the voice speaks.

I've had to start calling my bank in the other room now >.>

Mine hate keys or coins jangling too. They don't seem to mind anything on TV - even music, but if I put a CD on that is a whole different matter. I thought they might like my alternative 80s CD but oh no its not to their taste! They seem quite happy too listen to either Radio 4 (not much music) or local radio football commentary - even the music when we score - which this season is not as often as last season. Bless my little piggies
 
Ripping paper is a cause of major excitement - I don't know why as it's not linked to food (like plastic rustles might be); nothing they have is stored in paper bags! :doh:
 
When I was in high school the guinea pigs I had would whistle and whoot whenever they heard plastic crinkling--that was the sound of lettuce!

Agent Nibbles doesn't really react much to sounds, though occasionally he will wheek at me when it gets to be close to lettuce time.

Han Solo and Chewy have yet to learn that there is food outside of hay or pellets so... no sound-induced noises from them,yet. :)
 
My OH often says the piggy's don't like him, they grumble at him all the time. I have explained they don't like people at all and only tolerate us 'cause we do their shopping, cleaning and prepare their food. I can't tell him but tonight when he opened the side gate it rattled (it's metal) and the piggys gave the loudest rumble I've heard them make. If he knew he'd be saying they don't even like him coming home now. :))
