Can there be too much of the white coloured fluid that guinea pigs produce in their eyes? What is a normal amount?
Just curious as am noticing it a little bit more on one of my girls
xo

They produce that for cleaning with - kind of a milky white substance. Perfectly normal I am told as it did freak me out when I saw mine with it! lol
Sorry if you knew that already :red

I did know it was for cleaning but never really noticed it much until recently then wondered if there was 'too much' or a normal amount lol xo

Humm, I think as long as it goes i.e. it's not always around, I wouldn't have thought it a problem.
Sorry I'm not much help!

Some pigs seem to produce more of that fluid than others. My first hairless piggy, Nick, produced a LOT of that fluid, and so did Josephine. Enrico, Fermi, and Willow don't seem to produce much at all. I think it just depends of the piggy. :)

One of my piggies seems to produce a lot some days, then other days normal amounts. I wasn't sure if there's anything I could do, thought it was just the piggie like you said. It doesn't seem to affect him or bother him in any way.
