Happy guinea pigs won't seem unduly alarmed or afraid... they may wander around (sometimes making little squeaky noises to themselves), may lay down or stretch out if they are feeling relaxed, and may even popcorn (jump straight up) if they are really excited! You'll learn to figure out your guinea pig's basic body language to recognize fear, illness, happiness, etc.
