Hi there I have a pair of boars one of them being around 7 months old he is a bit of a rowdy one I guess that is because he is in his hormonal stage but his buddy who is older I am not too sure but I think a little under a year have been together four weeks the older one is quite calm and knows when to tell him off as the younger one can be a bit cheeky and the older one chases him quite a bit more chases him away he never hurts him just a little chase they are happy with eating together and sleeping in the same hay box but they never really cuddle or are super close is this normal’ and I see that this is probably in the early stages of bonding but just wanting to make sure 🙂

Yes chasing is a mild and normal dominance behaviour.
They would be bonded if they have been together for four weeks but they are both teenagers so seeing dominance is normal.
It is also normal that they don’t cuddle - most piggies won’t.

Hi!

Your little boy is at the age when the hormone output is at an all-time high; the older is still in his teenage, too.
This is mild behaviour.
