Normal guinea pig weight?

When i first joined here 3 weeks ago i was asking about a baby 4 week old guinea pig i was going to get i was adviced not to get it as it was too young but also because it had been left in with its brothers so could have been pregnant.
So it was 3 weeks since her brothers were taken out so she would be 7 weeks old now.
The lady who has her has asked if now she is older if i want her i am still reluctant just on the pregnancy aspect but also know she is going to rehome her and don't just want her going anywhere.
She weighed her today she 450g does that sound right or does it sound pregnant?

Holding her her tummy feels round but i remember thinking sparkles was pregnant when i first got her because she had a round belly that she kind of grew in to. At 3 weeks would i know yet if she was or not?

There is no "normal weight" as every pig is different ! It all depends on shape, size etc.

Some piggies are rather pear shape giving them a pregnant look but i'm not sure if theres anyway to really tell !

Although the chance of her being pregnant at 4 weeks is not high, there is is still a possibility that she is. Weight gain in young females is difficult to assess without handling her - some babies weigh far more than 450g at 7 weeks but are not expecting at all. Most pregnancies are not detectable until the 5-6th week unless you are experienced though in such a young pig it will be more obvious by week 7.

If you are not prepared or experienced enough to deal with a pregnancy with the problems that can come with it then I would advise against getting a pig that you already know has a possibility of being pregnant at such a young age.

Thankyou. Its the thought of her going off somewhere else to people who wouldn't have any idea she could be. The lady who has her is adamant she isn't pregnant says she has spoken to the rescue and they say she was too young to have gotten pregnant.
This was the same rescue as gave her a pregnant pig to begin with.
I am not hugely experienced in piggies but would make sure she gets all the care she needs weather she is pregnant or not.
