Nose crusties!

hello! today my piggy was wheeting louder than i had ever heard. when i inspected more closely he had a bit of crust on his nose. it was clear which lead me to belive it was dried snot. many treats and struggles later i got it off but i was just wondering if it was a symptom of something vet worthy.
 
Are you sure it was snot and not crusty skin/scabs? Is there any hair loss or itchiness?
If it was skin/scabs it could be cheilitis or fungal infection, however if it was snot I'd be more inclined to suggest a URI (Upper Respiratory Tract Infection). Although it could just be nothing to worry about. Also, what is he bedded on? As some piggies can find shavings irritating, especially if they are a bit dusty.
