Crunchie has had problems with her bladder for well over a year, resulting in several dentals needed due to her loss of appetite from bladder pain.

She has been stable since we got her bladder issues under control, until she had grass a while ago causing a flare up..

Her weight has dwindled the past 48 hours, and today the vet found small spurs and irritation of the tongue- she will have yet another dental on monday.

Fudge, my heart failure sow, has had very fast, sharp breathing for the past couple of weeks, fluid in the chest was ruled out and her heart didnt sound any different.. Today her heart rate was higher than normal, and its looking like her heart may be struggling more now. I have been advised to increase her fortekor, but been warned it isnt good news..

She is still eating and back up to her pre gut inflammatory flare up weight.. She is bright and happy in herself.

Please all pray for my girls.. We had turned a corner with crunchie, bladder issues where in check, good appetite meaning her teeth where fine too.. I just wish i hadnt given her that grass...
Fudge is 7.5 years old and has outlived her expectancy for a year after her diagnosis.. My heart breaks everytime we get news like this- but this certainly hasnt been the first time for her. I'm hoping she'll respond to a higher dose of fortekor, as she very much still wants to live bless her.

I'm devasted by your news. Adelle I'm so sorry things are going wrong with Crunchie & Fudge, giving Crunchie the grass probably had nothing to do with it don't knock yourself Hun. I think if anything happens to those 2 the hole group will be devasted.
Sending my prayers to Fudge & Crunchie & also you Adelle x

I am wishing the best for both of them... I have an oldie myself and I know how stressed out I get whenever there appears to be an issue! ((HUGS)) to you and your pigs!

Hugs and healing vibes sent to you and your precious girls x

They put us through the wringer don't they - but only because they are much loved.

I'm so sorry Adelle. Hopefully Fudge should respond well to the increased dose. I hope Crunchie's dental goes ok on Monday.
