pixie is not eating any vegetables since i got her. she eats loads of hay drinks loads of water its her food but not the whole bowl and eats her grass but does not eat any vegetables. sometimes she nibbles on the cucumber only.!
today i tried mixing it in with her grass but didnt work she chucked every piece of veggie out :/

any ideas why shes not eating vegetables? or what can i do to make her eat them if they are nece

How long have you had her and what veggies are you trying. It's probably simply something called "neophobia", they are scared of trying new things because they don't know they're safe. Try smelly things like coriander or romaine lettuce that they LOVE and slowly introduce more boring stuff like carrots etc later on.

ive tried

carrots
red pepper
green pepper
cherry tomatoe
normal tomatoe
cucumber ( which she nibbles just a bit)

and fruits ive tried grape that she does eat it all from my hand but in the bowl she doesnt the same with the cucumber she nibbles at it from my hand in the cage she doesnt even look at it

ive had her for 10 days

but where i got her from she had just arrived few hours before i have no idea where she came from who what they fed her.

You could try slowly introducing her to some leafy greens or cilantro? Those are always the items my brood goes for first! Romaine hearts are a good start as the leaves are very new and tender.

does she live alone? maybe she's lonely

she does.. but I'm trying to get 2 new guineas but as I'm from gibraltar theres just a pet store that sells them ive tried a few in spain but doesnt have any either :/ ive left my number there so they can call me as soon as some arrive at ive been checking in so hopefully she will have some mates soon :)

Try grapes, apples (v small amounts), parsley, romain lettuce, corn on the cob :)

If you're not doing it, try cutting the veg/fruit into small pieces.

yep have been cutting vegs to small pieces she just chucks them out

but she does eat all her grass and hay

and what about her food how much is she supposed to be eating daily ?
