Tewdric
Teenage Guinea Pig
One of my boys is still dropping the occasional bits of root vegetable out of their mouth when eating. A visit to the vet back in the middle of June proved inconclusive, and both youngsters have continued to gain weight at a steady pace since the visit.
It is still happening occasionally - although not every time they get beetroot or carrot as a treat so I'm keeping an eye on things.
This morning I attempted to crack which of my boys it was that is dropping their vege. I divided the run, provided them with half a small carrot each and put one boy each side of the divide. That didn't last long! Young Brunel pushed with way down the smallest of gaps between a box and the run wire to join his companion.
Back to the drawing board on that one.
Hormones have also hit - so whilst they seem desperate to be together there is some chasing and challenging going on. Boys! I hope it passes fairly swiftly, there's been no teeth chattering or serious challenging yet.
