I don't know if I'm posting this in the right place but I'm desperately seeking advice!

whenever I put my guinea pigs in their run on my lawn, I attach their water bottle securely, however they never use it! In the summer months I usually leave them in the run for most of the day and they love it! However I worry a lot about them not drinking! Today I've brought them both in the house twice to give them some water, but they don't like drinking anywhere except their hutch?!

please help! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

With so much fresh juicy grass, they are simply not thirsty, so don't worry! During a heat wave, fresh juicy veg like cucumber or celery or a bit of melon often goes down well; they consist of mostly water. Water consumption can very enormously. Guinea pigs don't have sweat glands; they regulate their body temperature via the blood flow in their ears.

thankyou so much! They don't like cucumber but I have been meaning to try watermelon! I guess I worry too much haha!

Yeah they don't know how much they stress there mum out by just not choosing to drink at that moment in time ! x
