Well captain jack is being a little naughty. Since I got him back from his neuturing he's refusing to drink.

At first he wouldn't eat, then he took his hay then vegetables, now muesli which I reluctantly added because he wouldn't eat his pellets. But he won't drink.

I've given him probiotic in his syringe drinking session, critical care. I've made sure he has watery veg and put a bowl of water mixed with cranberry juice.

And yet he still hasn't taken anything from his bottle or the bowl so more force feeding of fluids.

Any ideas?

He's behaving perfectly normal, Can't feel anything sinister and looks good down below.

It's been 3 weeks since his op.mallethead:(

Maybe hes getting adequate fluids from his veggys.. Some pigs are known not to drink from there bottle ever and use veggys as main fluid source especially if the weather is cool.

Thanks, I did wonder about that, but he's always been a decent drinker before. I wondered whether it was because his routine got disrupted, but thought he would have settled back down.

He must be getting fluids from somewhere otherwise he wouldnt have survived 3 weeks without water.. I'm sure hell be fine.. X

My piggy randomly stopped drinking his water because he decided his bottle was too much effort to reach and so now i have to have it attached inside the cage with elastic bands so he doesn't have to put so much effort in to drinking... He's such a lazy boy!

Thanks, I'm such a worry wart when it comes to jack.

Well it's that time of night for him to share my shoulder after his second check of the day on his man bits.

Awww, :)

If you have been feeding him CC to top up feed thats quite watery, compared to hay and nuggets so it might just be that he isnt thursty :)
