piggle had a dental last friday (shes had ongoing teeth problems for the past 2 years), but she is still not eating anything apart from nuggets.
She normally bounces back brilliantly.
A month ago she had a dental after she stopped eating and went from 900g to 760g. She never put the weight back on, before this dental she was 730g(on friday). Over the weekend she hasnt eaten any of her fave treats or critical care. Shes now down to 670g and skinny!
Ive got so many different types of hay to try tempt her to eat but nothings working this time. Shes never been this bad before, I'm rather out of my depth.

anyone got any ideas?

Have you tried her with any critical care or science recovery?
Can you get any grass most won't refuse it

refuses critical care, grass, dandelions, sweetcorn, green oat and dandelion hay thing from wilko, redigrass, timothy hay of many flavours...
she eats a few science selective nuggets - ive been hand feeding them for the past few hours. she doesnt even want to eat much of them..

I'm sure theres some metacam around the house but i cant find it. in the mean time i may have to try syringe feeding her

Did the vet give her any pain killers such as metacam for you to give her? piggie's mouths can often be sore after dentals, one of our piggies needed metacam for a week before she started eating again normally after one dental. You are unfortunately gonna need to get the critical care into her, to keep her strength up, here's a link that may give you some tips http://www.guineapighelpline.com/SyringeFeedingFactsheet.pdf or maybe try mushed up pellet mixture in the syringe.

I would take her back to the vet ASAP, to get her checked over, was the dental done with GA or conscious?

Edit- just read your metacam post above, I would definitely get back to the vets to get some. Pain will stop her wanting to eat also.

THERES CRITICAL CARE EVERYWHERE! ON HER, IN HER, ON ME.. I'm regretting giving her my dressing gown to snuggle up in.. it needed a wash anyway..

Yes, I'm remember critical care well, it's still on our old fire - where some shot out the syringe.
Sending lots of healing vibes to Piggle x

well shes had quite a bit, gone up to 690g. she was getting fed up of me, headbutting and biting. so shes now running about downstairs, and had ago on some corn of the cob.

She had some more crit care thismorning and this evening, along with a few pieces of sweetcorn. Still tempting her to try hay- shes eating bits..
Shes 730g tonight.

I know she's had xrays and stuff, I'd recommend taking her to Highcroft to see Gemma or Polly, but they're both on holiday and not back til next week

Shes eating sweetcorn by herself, really tucking into it. Loving the nuggets. Cut down to one crit care feed tonight. Tried covering grass with crit care but she didnt fall for it. Going to try smush some grass up and syringe it in, so she can remember that she does like grass!
Shes 766g tonight. :-)
