Hello!

I have been giving my new 6-month-old now diagnosed with URI plenty of veggies and vitamin C like green pepper, cucumber, carrots, and clementines (in order from most given to least given.)

However, she will not eat them. She only eats her pellets and SOMETIMES her timothy hay, but really she doesn't even eat hay that much. Only the occasional little nibble from my hand or the floor (does she not like her hay feeder on the wall?)

I have made a logical answer to this in my head. One symptom of URI is not eating or drinking. Could that be eat? She eats her pellets and water, so that's what's confusing me. Does she not really like timothy hay or veggies/fruits? I find this extremely hard to believe as my sister's one-alive one-deceased piggies absolutely loved everything. Literally, her live piggy now will eat anything you give to her. So is my baby just scared because she's new and only been here for eight days?! Please help, as I know piggies NEED vitamin C! We have vitamin drops coming in a couple of days, so do you think she'll eat those?

Is she on medicine for her URI? I would recommend weighing her daily, if she's losing weight you'll need to top her up.
