Well the the rescues are all doing well except one. One of the adult sows has lost a lot of weight in the couple of days I have had her. Thought I had given them a good health check but some how not quite.

Decided I should weigh them again although only been a couple of days and everyone except Autumn has put a lot of weight on :)
So trying to wonder why she felt so thin but had also lost so much weight I decided to check her teeth. The front ones are rather long and she is not managing to eat very well. I have run out of critical care so mushed some pellets up and she loved it.

I have and appt at the vets for 5:30pm. She is very perky but been very clingy to me as I have her in the house to monitor her and she hasn't had poop for over an hour :(

I really hope she is going to be ok :(

Lots of healing vibes to Autumn, please let us know how she gets on tonight x

I hope that the vet visit will go well! Please continue to hand feed her. also offer water in case she is dehydrated. Ask your vet for a gut stimulant to help the guts as well as a painkiller for after treatment. Teeth can go wrong very quickly; you are not a bad mummy - you noticed that something is wrong pretty quickly. It is often more difficult to discover things when dealing with an unfamiliar piggy.

Dental piggies tend to be very hungry; let her eat as much as she wants with every go!

A lot depends on how long she hasn't been able to eat properly and what damage that has done to her digestive system, cosnidering you have had her for such a short time. I would wait until you have got your vet's assessment before I overloaded her guts with too rich food.

I've had her in now for about 4 hours and she had 1 poop, so I think it may have been a while since she last ate well, hoping not too much damage :(

We've been to the vets and she needs to go back tomorrow morning. There going to put her under GA to trim the front and check the back as they struggled to see tonight but think she may have spurs too :( so will update tomorrow when she comes home which will be about teatime x

Update on Autumn, she is only managing to eat some nuggets on her own, most of the time she is sat on her own. There is no interest eating veggies or hay. She is literally skin and bones and her weight is only been maintained if i continuously syringe feed, which can be nuggets and banana and some water. I have not really seen her drink from the water bottle either :(

Sorry, only just seen your update, how is she doing now?

@helen105281 i found her trying to eat veggies with the others and having a little munch on hay. Such a turn around from 2 days ago. Weight still not great but i'm hoping she is starting to learn to chew for herself:)
