I got told that the episode of Jimmy's farm with me in it is on tonight. The series starts at 8pm on BBC 2 tonight. I am really not looking forward to it. The producer said she thinks I will be pleased with it but I really regret doing it and I have a feeling they will have cut out all the bits where I was giving them advice on guinea pig care. Anyone got a hole I can go dig myself into?

I'll have to look out for that! Listen, when we dread something it is usually not as bad as we think so try not to worry! :D

Hope it turns out ok for you!

What are you doing/what do you look like so we can look out for you? :D You're not dreading it that much otherwise you wouldn't have told us :D ;D

I already know its going to be bad though :( I have just seen one of the clips on the BBC website, it quite clearly shows the rabbit that had her babies in the town hall in guinea pig villiage, they assured me there would be no bunnies in there but this one apparantly jumped over the fence and they didnt get her out in time. Now it makes it look like I will home guinea pigs to live with rabbits :tickedoff:

12 of the guinea pigs in the new guinea pig village came from me. They came to my house last August and filmed me talking to Jimmy and Dolly about how to care for guinea pigs. After they filmed the programme they went against a lot of things that I told them and there is not a thing I can do about it :(

Oh gee, isn't it unfair how they'll always make out people like you who do sooooo much good for the little piggie :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: they then totally change the story about :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff:

Don't worry love, you know in your own heart that you do the right thing, ignore these people if they try to portray you in anyother way >:(
We all know how much good you do O0 :smitten: :smitten:

Well after we have watched the programme we can complain to the BBC, why do the media have to distort everything? They make me sick! It's so not fair, I really feel for you.

Hugs,

Louise

awww, cool! i'm gonna watch that tonight then. why on earth change the story? :tickedoff:

What were you wearing? I will keep an eye out for you! I know lucinda was really mad when an article got written that she had supposedly said, but the journalist changed it totally!

aww thats very frustrating.. the media always seem to swap things about to suit themselves. Not to worry. We will all support you. :)

I will be watching! ;)

Its not the TV company thats the problem, its the farm. They seemed to ignore some of the advice I gave them ::) Its not all bad though, they did put them indoors for the winter like I asked. Its just little things like them letting the rabbit stay in the pen which bothered me, I did suggest they moved the bunny and the house she was in into a different enclosure, not only for the piggys protection but for the bunnies too as they take children in there regularly to handle the animals. Because I havent been able to get in touch with them I dont know if it was done ::)

You wont be able to miss me, I am the one wearing shorts (oh god whatever possesed me :o) showing Jimmy and Dolly the piggies in my back garden.

I'll be watching, I think seeing/hearing yourself is always worse than it really is O0

Hi Cheryl, I know how fab you are at rehoming, some things are out of our control. You can take a horse to water etc. People make their own choices at the end of the day :) . If you'd said that it would be fine for the Buns to play in with Guins to the camera then I would be worried :)

I think we should all complain :tickedoff: ill try and remember to watch it ;)

I watched it - we didn't see much of you did we? :(

Didn't like how they didnt seem to care that the bunny was in there and thought it was funny that she'd had babies!

Also, they said something about deaths/murders at guinea pig village..what happened? do you know? :(

no I dont know what happened and I am a bit annoyed to tell you the truth. When they had the grand opening they found the rabbit with her babies in the town hall and I stood there telling people to leave them alone, I suspect the bunny babies are the death in the village because they kept getting disturbed :tickedoff: . I am annoyed that my time was wasted, they spent a whole afternoon filming here and then insisted on me going down to the farm and wasting another day, I was only on the programme for all of 2 seconds (it showed me shaking jimmy and dollys hand then putting a guinea pig into a box) and no recognition atall. In a way its a blessing in disguise because I wont get the bad publicity but I am annoyed that they wasted my timeand didnt show any of the advice I gave them :-X

:-\ Yeah I watched it too - I was looking out for you but must've missed you, you were on and off screen so quick. How annoying for you, having your time wasted like that - it's not nice as you were stressed out a bit too because you had no idea how they'd edited it. Poor baby bunnies, too. :(

I thought you were the person who were on for two seconds and shook their hand! Eughh I'm not surprised you're annoyed - okay so you didn't really wanna be on TV but when you wasted all that time filming etc and weren't even shown! Thought it would have been nice to mention they were from a rescue not a petshop or something too :(

Also wondering why they didn't have a roof on the big run thingy? :-\

why didnt they just put a run around the rabbit and the babies? I saw you for all of the 2 seconds you were on :D :D :D

So when you say they kept the piggies in the shed over winter are you saying they stayed at the farm and haven't moved out? Give us the gossip!

I suggested they take the rabbit with her babies inside the house and move the whole thing to a seperate enclosure where it would be more private but they wouldnt listen :tickedoff: . I was told the guinea pigs were moved into the shed for the winter but are now back outside again. Remember this series was filmed last July/August

I watched it. Wasn't very impressed by it. Didn't like the way young kids were in with village with piggies running around. I think I saw you not sure

Missed the beginning of the programme but saw you briefly. I thought they could have mentioned the rescue aspect too, would've been nice!

i saw you for the two seconds you were on. hope those guineas are all ok.

The only good thing was we got to see what you looked like! :D I was annoyed with all the children holding the guinea pigs, I know kids love them but the poor things were probably frightened. The poor bunny. To be honest, I'm no expert on livestock but what they were trying to do with the turkeys was ridiculous in my opinion and when Max was running after the chicken that guy didn't seem too bothered and didn't rush to the chicken's aid.

And what about the poor cow, I hope it isn't anthrax, poor Charlotte :(

We saw the last half hour - wasn't impressed with the conversation in the car on their musings about why rabbits and piggies cannot be kept together, also the way they found it funny with the baby buns, or the kids running about holding the piggies.

As a rescue who has, on film had their terms not met, can you not pay them a visit and pick them up on it?
