how much fruit a week should a piggie get? and does anyone have piggies that won't eat many different fruits?

chesney only likes apple and raspberries but obviously i don't want him having apple too much.

how much fruit a week should a piggie get?

does anyone have piggies that won't eat any/much fruit?

thanks.

my piggies won't eat apple, but they do like red grapes and melon, and they also like banana, if I slice in up they eat the skin and leave the rest!

I tend to give them fruit as a treat maybe once a day but at least 4 times a week.

i give my pigs more veggies than fruit
they have either spinach, carrot, celery or green beans every day, sometimes twice as an extra snack
but i'll give them apples/banana/orange maybe two or three times a week

i don't think it matters a whole lot, as long as they get some fresh food every day
if you think they're missing out on vitamin c, P@H do a vitamin supplement i used to use for baxter when he refused to eat fresh food

ok, well chesney eats lots of veg, he likes alot of things there. just not fruit as much. i haven't tried him on anything new myself, just what i have been told. but i might try some new things and see what he likes. i'll try bits of banana this week i think as we always have some in. hopefully he will like it. :)

My girls eat a range of fruit and veg every day.

They love bananas (especially the skins), pears, apples, melon, and grapes too. They dont really liked stoned fruits like plums, cherries and peaches or citrus fruits.

My colleagues usually give me their apple cores or banana skins from their pack lunches so I bring them home as an after work snack for them too - although I've been told too much banana is bad for them so I only let them have one skin a day between them.

I tried giving Pola a small piece of Kiwi yesterday and she loved it. I wasn't sure exactly how citrus it was so I only gave her the one piece and will probably give her another small piece tomorrow!
