In the past, I have had a REALLY hard time getting my pigs to accept different brands of pellets. Difficult to the point of having to throw out whole bags of food that either Linney or Hadley (depending on the timeframe) absolutely refused to touch. Even when I blended them with the regular pellets and tried everything I could to outsmart them. So due to COVID, trucker protests, and record-breaking snowfall, pickings are sparse at the pet store. So I had to buy a new brand of pellet. I didn't even have enough left over to blend them with. So I brought them home, put them in the bowl, and older-and-wiser Leela came over and regarded them suspiciously. Stuck her nose in, but didn't eat any. Clearly knew something was not right here. Then boisterous Tomie came bouncing up and commenced scarfing down the new pellets without even looking twice. She is a 'leap before you look' pig if ever there was one. Of course, then Leela started eating them too because it's not like she was going to let Tomie have them all! So... thanks Tomie! Your youthful exuberance and willingness to say 'close enough!' saved the day and kept me from having to frantically try to rush-deliver pellets from online in a blizzard!
