Not pooping!

So following on from my thread yesterday-

This morning after I cleaned the cage out I watched them to check if their poops were back to normal. But not one of them pooped a single thing! Both of them are eating, drinking and running around like usual but they don't seem to be pooping! Should I be worried?

Hmm, when I rang my vet and told them my pig wasn't pooping they told me to bring him in immediately as it could be life threatening - guinea pigs need to be constantly eating and pooping. However, he did have other symptoms as well (not eating, fluffed up, staying in his cage) and was on antibiotics (it was a bad reaction to them that was making him ill). Given that you were already concerned about them yesterday, perhaps you should ring your vet and see what they say?

Update:
They have started to poop! It's still not as much as usual but their pooping which is the main thing! If the amount of poop doesn't go back to normal I will deffo call my vet! Thanks for your help! x

Best of luck! If your boys are still active, hungry and chirpy then it is usually due to them stuffing themselves silly at one point, processing that, but not eating much for a while afterwards.

However, it is always good to keep a beady eye on your piggies and to take them to the vets as soon as they look off.

They are deffo still active and hungry! It was probably because they have been on the grass for 3 days running (keeping them off it today). They're girls by the way hehe! Thanks x
