Are boys smellier than girls? My Boys seem to smell a lot but when i had my girl she didnt smell at all! Just wondered? x

hi yes boys are smellier and in the case of my 3 boars they seem to wee and pooh more and do bigger poohs as well i definetly have to bath my boys more often than the girls
on the plus side though i find with my boys they are often more effectionate than the girls still i love them all no matter what

Boys are a lot smellier (even neutered ones). It's because of the testosterone...

Well I never knew that! You learn something new every day on this forum. Maybe that explains that when my piggys stay at my brothers house when we go away he says they smell! He doesnt have any piggys or other pets so I just think hes not used to the smells, as I dont think they smell and they live in our living room.
I have just got a little boy today with his mother and sister and I cant say that he smells at all!
hi how old is your little boy piggy they dont tend to smell when babies it is when they get a bit older male hormones i guess
I think he's about 18months old 
ah bless the same age as one of mine called bubbles he is smelly i usually bath him at last every couple of months in gorgeous guineas just for boars the lovely smell it leaves lasts for ages good luck with your little manI think he's about 18months old

The scent glands are responsible for the smell, they are just doing their normal job!
An impacted boar can also produce a distinctive smell.

My intact boys stink terribly! They don't keep their cage very tidy, they'd rather just pee where they are sitting and so on.
My neutered boys and girls don't stink and they keep a fairly tidy house.

ah ha that may well be why duke doesnt smell as he has been neutered!
