Not Sure If Drinking Loads Or If The Bottle Is Leaking.....

but for the second day one water bottle has been completely empty.......... fleece feels slightly damp/cold but hard to tell if it a leak as the fleece absorbs it !

have placed a tea towel directly under the bottle i think is leaking tonight and hopefully that will tell me !

But if thats not the case, what should i be looking for if they are drinking LOTS ? I can't remember.....

Either place a dish underneath the bottle or replace the bottle to make sure that it is not a leaking issue.
See a vet if a guinea pig on its is drinking a medium sized bottle empty in less than 24 hours.

Is it a living world glass one? Sometimes if you don't get the vacuum right they can discharge in a day (mine have done it a few times). But as Wiebke suggests a bowl or tea towel underneath will show you if it's self emptying.

i have put the tea towel under about an hour ago so will check that before i go to bed....... it is just a normal water bottle not a living world one....

up date - Sunday.... So its been a lot hotter today and the water bottle is still about half full which is what they normally would drink on a daily basis........ still keeping an eye on them though... x

Some piggies mess with the sipper tube and just empty the bottle, l have a couple like that.
